The biggest reason for the genocide is the same reason as the occupation and the illegal settlements. It is a simple, straightforward reason: they want all the land and none of the people. 

One problem with that desire is that Israel does not need all the land. They could manage without. What motivates them to want all the land no matter what is simply Zionism. 

You hear this term often and it is never clearly explained. You know it has something to do with a state for Jews. It means this:

1. The Zionists want a state from the river to the sea. 

2. The Zionists want a Jewish majority state. They want an ethnostate. 

All of us should oppose all ethnostates. The concept should offend us at our core. We were taught: if you get a slice of cake, so does your sister. This is called fairness. If you live somewhere, and your neighbour gains a civil right, you should also have that civil right. This simple logic can not operate under Zionism, because Jews will always have more rights than non-Jews. That is built in. Otherwise it would not be possible to have a Jewish state. If a Jew is born anywhere on earth they can move to Israel. If a diaspora Palestinian born in Jerusalem wants to go back to Jerusalem, they are denied. 

None of us should ever accept ethnostates. All of us should oppose Zionism.
