About Leiden Palestina Coalitie

The Leiden Palestina Coalitie was established in late August 2025 to ensure sufficient organizing muscle for facilitating a weekly sit in as well as marches through Leiden. It is a broad coalition that is always looking to expand as long as the participants are willing to put in the work to increase public pressure so that Palestine can be free. 

The driving philosophy behind the sit ins and the marches is to increase public awareness, inform the citizenry, keep the subject alive in the media and to create political pressure that the government cannot ignore. We demand a total embargo on Israel. The Netherlands must cut all ties with Israel and take any and all action to bring justice to the Palestinians, first and foremost by stopping the genocide and letting food, water, fuel and medicine into the Gaza Strip. The end goal is a just solution for a free Palestine. Which form this will take is up to the Palestinians.

The Dutch state, by maintaining all ties with the genocidal state of Israel, refusing to eject its ambassador,  and shirking its responsibilities under international law, owes the Palestinian people immediate and full economic, diplomatic, financial and military support, as well as reparations and a public apology.
